Human machine voicing (HMV) has been a popular vocal tool across the music industry over the past 50 years, with autotune being an industry standard practice in 2023. Having a personal fondness towards autotune (a form of human machine voicing), I wanted to base my project on experimenting creatively with HMV to explore feelings of authenticity and resonance. I felt that an electronic dance song would be ideal for implementing instrumental vox layers acting as rhythmic or melodic instrumentation.
