Behind the Mask critically expressed individual identitiesin social media and public space surveillance by presenting the image of a person living under a horse mask. In the art history, the horse represents strength, swiftness, majestic beauty and dedication. At the same time, the horse also represents sensitivity and vulnerability.These traits also represent the character's personality hidden under social supervision. It examined the changes in individual experiences across times and spaces.In addition, the project also represents the character's past identity as a soldier by using body language such as the Chinese military stance.
