6 days of AI
Building up to the ‘Festival of Sust(AI)nable Education’ of the Wednesday 8 May 2024 at the University of Sussex Business School, we are running a short information course on AI, ‘6 Days of AI’.

What is 6 Days of AI?
Over six days we will be looking at the basics of AI and how to get started, how to enhance your knowledge and where to look for more help and advice.
The 6 days of AI is an online course which, in 10–20 minutes a day over 6 days, gets you using a variety of different AI tools.
Each day will have a new task and a platform where you can comment along with others in respect to your experiences and use of the tools and about the potential and limitations of using AI.
How do I access the course?
All you need to do is Bookmark this page and return every day during the 6 days of AI. This page will be updated with a new task each day from 10am.
When is the course?
The course is entirely self-directed, and a new task will become available each day of the course. Click on the links below when they become available on the day.
- Monday 29 April – Task 1: AI tools and general terms
- Tuesday 30 April – Task 2: It’s all about prompts
- Wednesday 1 May – Task 3: Let’s be creative – image generation
- Thursday 2 May – Task 4: Generating concise summaries
- Friday 3 May – Task 5: Let’s make a video (Avatar)
The last task will cover aspects of the upcoming conference and will be available the day before the conference:
- Tuesday 7 May – Task 6: AI in education, the good and the bad
How do I connect with other participants?
You will be able to leave comments and share you experiences with other members of staff on our specially created 6 days of AI Padlet (information and links to follow).
Please note: This course is designed to provide an introduction to the more popular AI tools. However, unless explicitly stated, the AI tools discussed are not supported or endorsed by the University of Sussex. All are free to use but may require users to provide personal information (e.g. name and email) to access.
Please DO NOT upload your own or others' personal or private data, INCLUDING STUDENT WORK, to any such unsupported tools. Doing so could be breach data protection regulations.
