Day 3: Let’s be creative – image generation

Welcome to day 3 of 6 days of AI.
Just as Copilot is our recommendation for using a Chatbot, Adobe Firefly is the preferred tool for image generation.

Apart from the university having an institutional license for all Adobe Creative Cloud products, as a user, you can rest assured that the AI-generated images originate from meticulously curated data sources, including Adobe Stock, openly licensed content, and materials from the public domain where copyright protections have lapsed.
Many other AI image creative platforms are built on images sourced from the internet with no regard for copyright. However, for the purpose of this short course, we invite you to use and compare various other image creation tools if you like.
AI image generation usually means text-to-image, where a user can type out a textual description of the image they'd like, and the AI tool will generate an image based on the description.
Your task for today
Your task is to try out at least one of the following prompts:
- Access Adobe Firefly and ask it to create an image of yourself based on your job and/or hobby. For example, “create an image of a Business School lecturer on an art course or fishing trip” or “create an image of a senior librarian mountain climbing”. Maybe, adapt these prompts for a subject that you are very interested in.
- Access another image creation tool(s) (links below) and ask the same questions a mentioned above.
In each case, can you look at various outputs available for the image, for example, as an Artwork or Photograph or different dimension ratios.
