Engaging Pedagogies for English and Maths (X6620)
15 credits, Level 4
Spring teaching
On this module, you'll explore theories and approaches to teaching and learning english and maths. You'll examine the underlying principles, ensuring all children can access learning and thrive during their primary education and beyond.
You'll learn different strategies for teaching, learning and assessment, reflecting on your own understanding and attitudes towards both subjects. The module also encourages you to consider children’s attitudes, questioning how they're shaped by factors like educational policy, family influences and media, and how they can be transformed.
