Professional Experience in the Cultural and Creative Industries (V4066)

Spring teaching
On this module, you'll experience working in the creative industries with our partners at Brighton Festival.
You'll work closely with a specific team:
- technical production coordination
- programming and participation
- fundraising, operations and sustainability
- marketing.
By working alongside the festival team, you'll make a genuine contribution to its activities and gain a detailed understanding of a particular area of working within the creative industries. You'll also benefit from regular tutorials from Sussex staff, giving you the opportunity to reflect on your progress.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 62 hours of contact time and about 88 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2025/26. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
