Autumn teaching
This module introduces you to an area of law that is concerned with the actions and operations of government and governmental bodies in Canada. Administrative law addresses the manner in which Courts can review the decision of administrative bodies who exercise power that has been granted to them through statute. You will be introduced to the core elements of administrative law doctrine, including how cases reviewed by the Courts are evaluated based on whether they contain any substantive errors (errors of law) and whether they were procedurally fair

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 26 hours of contact time and about 124 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25.
