Dissertation (Digital Media and Culture) (P5090)

30 credits, Level 6

Spring teaching

This module will allow students in the BA Digital Media and Culture to work on a written project (dissertation) of their choosing.

The module assessment is a self-directed substantial piece of work that will enable you to devise your research questions and argument. The module is also meant to facilitate the identification of those key debates in the field of digital media theory that relate to the chosen dissertation subject. The module will stress the importance of developing an original and independent study of problems and concepts in the heterogenous field of digital media and digital culture.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.

We’ll make sure to let you know of any material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
