Autumn teaching

From the Essex girl to Kate Middleton. From celebrities’ private estates to living on a council estate. From hunger pains to the hunger for social mobility – we explore contemporary social issues in relation to class in the UK.

In this module, you will:

  • explore how social class is lived and experienced in contemporary austerity Britain
  • reflect on your own social position using an auto-ethnographic perspective.
