Autumn and spring teaching
On this module, you'll gain hands-on experience in professional work settings, applying theoretical knowledge from your first two years of study to real-world environments. The placement bridges the gap between academic learning and practical application, allowing you to develop key skills such as communication, problem-solving and teamwork.
You'll also receive specialised training relevant to your specific placement, enhancing your employability through paid work experience.
This year encourages personal and professional growth through self-reflection and skill development, preparing you for future careers in psychology or related fields.
Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 1200 hours of work. This breaks down into about 8 hours of contact time and about 1192 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
