Global Work Experience (D6001)
30 credits, Level 6

In this module, you'll gain practical work experience in an area of relevance to your degree. In a period of work experience of a minimum of five weeks, you'll:
- experience the practical aspects of work
- contribute to your personal development
- further develop skills needed in relations to employability beyond university.
You must be proactive in finding your own work experience provider. Registration on the module does not guarantee that work experience will be secured.
If you can't secure work experience, you can transfer to an alternative third-year module.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 15 hours of contact time and about 285 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
We’ll make sure to let you know of any material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity.
