Technician Career Pathways
The University of Sussex has two main Career Pathways for technicians.
Technicians are required to fill various roles in the University of Sussex. We have 'general roles' which provide subject-based technical support to teaching or research area. Other technical members of staff are dedicated to specialist equipment, techniques or groups. To ensure all technicians know where they fit on a career pathway and to give consistency in grading and roles, the University of Sussex has two main Career Pathways for technicians; Generalist/Managerial, and Specialist.
