ITS work closely with Educational Enhancement (EE) to offer courses to staff to acquaint themselves with the audiovisual technology at Sussex or to refresh their knowledge.

These can be booked around the start of each term on the EE events page.

What's included

The sessions are designed to introduce teaching staff to the basic functions of lecture theatre AV equipment, enabling users to deliver their presentations smoothly and with greater confidence:

• How to operate the lighting and audio in lecture theatres
• How to switch on and operate the PC and projector
• Use of USB devices
• Switching between modes of projection (pc/laptop/DVD)
• Connecting your own laptop to the projector
• Basic troubleshooting
• Lecture Capture: digitally recording your lectures for Canvas using Panopto
