Professor Amandina Lihamba, University of Dar es Salaam and Dr. Linda Dzama Forde, University of Cape Coast have been invited to the International Association of Universities Strategies for Securing Equity in Access and Success in Higher Education International Conference co-organised with Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya on 16-18 November 2011 to present a paper entitled: Academic and Social Support Services for Improved Retention in HE in Ghana and Tanzania.

As part of her visit as a Senior Research Fellow to the Centre for Gender Excellence (GEXcel), Örebro University, Sweden, Louise Morley gave the keynote address on Misogyny Posing as Measurement: The feminisation paradox in academia at the GEXcel Gender Paradoxes Conference

Dr Alison Croft presented the conference paper: Agency and Advocacy: Disabled Students in Higher Education in Ghana and Tanzania. The paper was co-authored by Professor Louise Morley and presented at the 1st International Conference on Disability and the Majority World: Towards a Global Disability Studies, Manchester Metropolitan University, 7th and 8th July 2011.
