Technical support
Welcome to Technical Support for Psychology!
About us
Daniel Hyndman is lead technician for the Cognitive, Behavioural, and Clinical Neuroscience lab groups, and is your main contact for data scanning and Calpendo (lab booking) queries. He also manages the ANC bookable lab space.
Martha Casey is lead technician for the Developmental, Clinical and Social lab groups, and first contact for any queries regarding the Sona system and poster printing. She is also in charge of the Pevensey 1 psychology lab space.
Either of us can be contacted about equipment loans, for software advice, and with general queries.
Office hours
We no longer have set office hours, but we are usually on campus at various times throughout the week. Please contact us by email in the first instance, and we can arrange a time to meet you, lend out equipment, or just provide advice. We are happy to arrange to meet in person or virtually, depending on the help you need.
Where to go for help
I have a problem with my lab computer or equipment. You've come to the right place! Contact your lead technician for lab-specific help, or drop either of us a line for software and equipment help.
My office computer, or a computer in a teaching room, isn't working. Sounds like a job for our excellent IT Services department! Go to their pages to request the appropriate support.
My personal computer or tablet isn't working. Unfortunately the university isn't able to provide support for your own equipment - but we know people who can! Go to the ITS page on using your own computer for a list of local suppliers and repair firms.
