Terms and conditions

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other Sussex-funded scholarship (such as the Chancellor's International Scholarship).

Students must be self-financing to receive the scholarship. If you confirm that you are being sponsored, or that your tuition fees are being paid by sponsor, employer or other funding provider, then the scholarship offer will be revoked.

The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee reduction for each year of full-time study at Sussex. The scholarship is not available for placement/study abroad years or if you are required to resit.

Advice for dual nationals: in order to receive the Sussex Nigeria Scholarship, you may be asked to provide evidence to the University of your Nigerian nationality (such as a passport or other form of official government identification which confirms citizenship). If you are planning to apply for your Student Visa with another passport, then please note that you may also be required to present evidence of your Nigerian nationality during the visa application process and arrival in the UK as the Sussex Nigeria Scholarship will be included on your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) document.
