At Sussex Summer School, you’ll experience more than just academic life. Your social calendar is filled with exciting activities, organised by our friendly Summer Coordinators, who are current Sussex students dedicated to helping you feel at home.

Some of the activities you'll enjoy include:

These events are designed to help you make new friends and relax after class while enjoying campus life.

Friday days out

Make the most of your time in the United Kingdom by joining our exciting Friday excursions. Led by the Global Programmes team and Summer Coordinators, these trips take you to sites of cultural, historical and natural interest in the southeast of England.

London weekend trip

Join your fellow summer students for an unforgettable weekend in London. Everything is arranged for your convenience so you can focus on exploring one of the world’s most exciting cities.

Dates:

  • Friday 4th July – Sunday 6th July 2025 (Session One)
  • Friday 25th July – Sunday 27th July 2025 (Session Two)

Cost: tbc.

Your weekend package includes:

  • transport to and from London
  • two nights stay in a hotel, with breakfast
  • visits to top attractions
  • free time to explore places of personal interest.

Accommodation

During your Summer School stay, you'll live in our on-campus residences.

Your accommodation includes:

  • private, single occupancy rooms with either shared or ensuite bathrooms (bedding pack provided)
  • fully-equipped shared kitchens for you and your flatmates (kitchen pack provided)
  • a welcoming community with plenty of social spaces.

Living on campus means you'll have privacy, comfort, and a great base for your studies and adventures.
