Autumn teaching
This module helps you develop evidence-based knowledge of key practices for the management of people in organisations. It will provide a broader view of human resource management theories, and critically examine specific managerial practices that are connected to motivating people, delivering change and influencing strategy.
The module is designed to support yours learning and development as a reflective and critical practitioner. The focus throughout will be on learning through reflection in order to challenge, critique and make evidence-based decisions on organisational issues.
There will be opportunities for collaborative learning and to explore managerial practices in a diverse range of organisational settings. You will be given the opportunity to examine in detail a specific and anticipated managerial challenge, and to generate solutions by using the theories learnt in this module.
You will be asked to reflective on aspects of ethics, sustainability and social responsibility in your own people management practice.
