The ability to analyse data and to produce clear and concise reports of your finding  is an important skill for any Financial Data Analytics specialist. To achieve this, you need to be able to blend diverse knowledge and skills from previous modules.

This module offers you an opportunity to work on an exciting problem by developing an initial idea under the guidance of your supervisor, and then applying a full range of analytical, programming and other acquired skills to finding creative ways of analysing the problem further. At the end you will produce a comprehensive report with your findings.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 600 hours of work. This breaks down into about 10 hours of contact time and about 590 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
