Spring teaching
This module provides an introduction to the structure and governance of transactions taking place over the internet and related issues commonly called 'cyberlaw'.
You’ll focus on:
- the theory and practice concerning the dematerialisation of transactions
- the creation of extra-domestic rules through private self-regulation as well as public norms through international bodies such as UNCITRAL and the EU
- the relevance of private international law resolution in cases of disputes.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 30 hours of contact time and about 270 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
