15 credits, Level 7 (Masters)

Spring teaching

This module will provide an opportunity for you to reflect on your writing process and on yourself as a writer, through reading and seminar discussion, as well as through the practice of writing techniques and creative writing exercises.

We'll focus on:

  • academic writing as a genre
  • ways in which writers can develop their own voice and self-presence
  • the effect of the imagined reader in the writing process
  • the development of voice and writing identity for academic writing and how it impacts on the way we tell the story of our research.
