Life at Sussex
Clubs, groups and societies
You can choose from more than 200 student-led societies and groups including:
- the Buddy Scheme, which matches new students with current students based on your interests and includes activities and trips
- the Language Café, where you take part in language exchange sessions and other activities
- The South Asian Students' Society (SASS)
The South Asians Students' Society host a number of high-profile events throughout the year, including Holi and Diwali celebrations.
Food
Brighton has international supermarkets which sell South Asian products including Taj's International Foods, as well as South Asian restaurants such as Moonstone Sri Lankan restaurant.
You can also buy international products from our weekly on-campus market or food markets in Brighton.
Religion
There is a multi-faith chaplaincy on campus, a Buddhist temple, churches and a mosque in Brighton & Hove.
