Research Data
Researchers in all disciplines will create or collect data; this could be interview transcripts, field notebooks, code, experimental results and more. In addition to support for writing Data Management Plans and overall research data management, the Library can support you in applying open research principles to your data.
- Open Research Data
-
Open research data can be achieved by sharing data in a data repository. By doing so, and licensing and describing the data so that it can be understood and re-used, the data can be preserved for future use.
Open data should meet FAIR principles to be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Re-usable.
- Sussex Figshare
-
Sussex researchers can use Sussex Figshare, our research data repository, to make their research data open in line with many funder requirements including UKRI (see their Concordat on Open Research Data). The Library can also help to find subject specific repositories, and can advise on preparing your data to share.
