Journalism
Journalism practice across print, audio, video and digital platforms is a key feature of Journalism at Sussex. Here is a small selection of work produced by current and former students.
Video Journalism by Joshua Talbot
Josh’s video on popular entertainment in Brighton in the 1930s and 1940s was his assignment submission for the Video Journalism module.
Journalism Project by Luke Mitchell
Luke’s podcast won the award for the best final project on the BA Journalism in 2020. The Journalism Project module (year 3) allows students to develop and produce a critical journalism project on a topic and story of their choice. The module builds on students' practical and analytical skills acquired through the whole course of their study and enables them to develop these skills further by working in depth on a print, online, audio or video journalism piece. Work on the project is supported through workshops and tutorials with a project supervisor.
