A Dog is for Life

Camay Davis Mcauley

The documentary, A Dog is for Life, is inspired by the slogan used by Dogs Trust. It explores people's relationship with their dogs and how they can be an enormous source of comfort. During the pandemic, some people were bored at home and decided to adopt dogs for that reason, not thinking about the fact that it's a long-term comittment.
After the end of lockdowns, as people started returning to work, many had to give up their dogs. Some just abandoned and neglected their furry friends. But this story is not one of despair, rather of hope because people are now readopting these "covid dogs" and giving them the permanent home they deserve. This is a story that highlights that dogs are not financial burdens, but cherished members of the family.
