The inaugural Festival of Ideas took place across four days in 2021 with a four-day programme of more than thirty events. Since then, the Festival has consisted of a programme of on-campus talks and events co-created by Sussex staff and students held between March-April and a curated programme of events hosted at venues across the region as part of the official Brighton Festival programme in May.
The Festival of Ideas is led by the Faculty of Media, Arts and Humanities. As the official education partner for the Brighton Festival, we have been an integral part of supporting this creative showcase of the arts in our local area.
Now in its fifth year, we are delighted to be running twelve events this spring, spanning across musical expression, political activism, cultural history, the experience of disability and the exploration of the natural world.
