Teaching
Undergraduate degrees in astronomy
Astrophysics can be studied as part of a range of undergraduate degrees (MPhys/BSc). These are taught by members of the Astronomy Centre and other lecturers in the Physics and Astronomy Department.
Research degrees: PhD/MPhil
Two research degree programmes are available, PhD and MPhil, in all our research areas. Prospective PhD students should consult the PhD Studentships page.
Taught degrees: MSc in Astronomy, MSc in Cosmology
MSc courses are half taught courses and half research project. Students undertake a significant project in one of our research areas. We have listed some example projects.
Funding
For students satisfying the STFC criteria we have fully funded PhD studentships available every year.
We welcome applications at any time from candidates and can explore funding options with you once we have an application. Go to the Apply Now page.
