When did you last change your password?
We strongly recommend changing your password at least once every 3 months, and you should keep all your passwords unique. Cyber crime is on the rise in Higher Education, with University staff and students being routinely targeted by fraudsters. Make sure you stay safe.
If somebody has obtained your password, via a phishing attack or a data breach elsewhere, they might hold it for a long time before using it. Changing your password reduces this risk.
You should not use your Sussex password for any other system. The best approach is to use a password manager to generate and store your passwords.
To change your password, log in to Sussex Direct and select Change Password from the Personal menu.
