Description of work:
An important security certificate on eduroam, the University’s Wi-Fi system, needs to be updated every 2 years.
When this happens, our testing shows that all non-Apple devices should check and approve the new certificate without you needing to take any action.
However, if you have an iPhone or iPad, you will see a warning message about an unrecognised security certificate. You will need to check some settings to be sure you’re connecting to the genuine eduroam network.
How do I reconnect my iPhone or iPad to eduroam?
You will see a warning message, asking if you trust the eduroam network.
You shouldn’t click Trust until you’ve checked these settings on the IT Service website.
Date / time:
01 August 2019, 08:00 - 09:00
Why are we doing this work?
These security certificates are only valid for 2 years and then need to be updated.
