Wi-Fi survey begins next week

You might notice staff from local networking experts Ideal taking readings across the campus in the coming weeks. You’ll be able to spot them in branded polo shirts or carrying a clear ID badge. We’ve asked Ideal to perform a survey of Wi-Fi strength, to produce a heatmap of stronger and weaker areas.
For a lot of students and staff, nothing matters more than a stable Wi-Fi signal. Taking a thorough survey of Wi-Fi quality will help us develop a strategy to improve the wireless provisioning at Sussex.
Staff from Ideal will be visiting your building, office or residence, and you’ll have plenty of notice before they arrive. They will measure the signal strength in a few locations using a laptop and then move on to the next location.
