Description of work:
ITS has begun a programme of works to improve the underlying storage behind many of our web services. The first site to be migrated will be Study Direct, and the last step in the work requires taking the site down for a couple of hours.

What will you notice while this work is carried out?
During this work you won’t be able to access any resources via Study Direct. Canvas will be unaffected by this work.
Why are we doing this work?
Some of our web services are dependent on old file storage systems which are being replaced. In order to keep our websites resilient and ready for future improvement, we need to migrate all the files to a newer platform.
