UPDATE: 2 Oct 2018 - 4:11pm
We’ve identified the root cause of the desktop performance issue across the campus and we are working hard to resolve it. We have raised the issue with our support partners and we have made this a matter of the highest priority.
Please do not log out and log back in at this point, as it may place additional load on the infrastructure and lead to further delays.
We apologise if you’ve been affected by this issue. We will restore normal desktop performance as quickly as possible.
The changes we have made seem to have fixed the underlying issue so if you’ve been affected a slow desktop today, you should find that your computer will start behaving normally.
We still do not recommend logging out and logging back in as a way to improve your computer performance. However, please do log out when you go home this evening.
