How to use

Going Abroad?

International SIM

You or the person who submitted the ticket for a new phone, likely requested an international SIM card if you travel abroad as part of your role.

Please ignore any roaming charge texts from Vodaphone if you have an international SIM as these do not apply.

Local SIM

A local SIM card was likely requested if you do not travel outside the UK for work.

If you're planning on travelling abroad and you have a local SIM card, your Sussex mobile will not be able to make calls, send texts or use the internet. You should contact IT Services to update your SIM from a local one to an international. You can still keep the same phone number.

If you're not sure whether you have an international or local SIM card you can contact the IT Service Desk

Add a Multi-factor Authenticator to your new work phone

Add MFA to a new phone to access key university applications, like Sussex Direct and Outlook.

Leaving the University?

Please factory reset and return the device to your office administrator or school office so it can be reallocated.

Reallocating hardware helps us meet our sustainability goals.
