Can I skip the Backstage view when Opening or Saving Word documents in Word 2016?

Word 2016 will open the Backstage view when Opening or Saving documents but can be turned off, see below. 

  1. Open Word
  2. From the File tab select Options
  3. Click on Save on the right
  4. Tick “Don’t show the Backstage when opening or saving files” checkbox
