Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS)
CEDARS is a biennial survey gathering anonymous data about the research environment, working conditions, career aspirations and professional development opportunities for those conducting research in the UK. It last ran in 2023.
Are you a researcher and/or a manager of researchers?
We want know more about your experiences of the research environment you currently work in.
The results of this survey are instrumental in informing the ongoing improvements Sussex is making to its provision for research staff. It's an opportunity for you to tell us about your experience as a researcher so far.
CEDARS runs nationally every two years. We are running it as part of our actions to implement the Principles of the revised Researcher Development Concordat. The results will establish a baseline for the UK research system and help identify what more we need to do nationally to achieve the Principles of the Concordat.
CEDARS is managed and supported by Vitae.
Who can respond?
CEDARS is open to researchers currently working at the University of Sussex on a research-only contract. It is also open to PIs/managers of researchers at Sussex.
