Partner highlight: Tokyo Institute of Technology
Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) is one of our Professional Services Followship partners, the scheme aims to share best practice between professional services staff at Sussex and our global partners. Our partnership with Tokyo Tech facilitates staff development, improves support for international scholars and helps both universities provide an excellent student experience. Since signing the agreement in 2017 there have been four reciprocal exchanges of staff in areas of project management, student support, Human Resources and Finance.
Tokyo Tech is Japan's top national institution for science and technology. With a history spanning more than 130 years, it has been ranked in the country's top three universities. In 2014, it was named as a recipient of funding under Japan’s Top Global Universities Project, set up to strengthen the international competitiveness of higher education in Japan.

The Sussex Artificial Intelligence Institute, Zhejiang Gongshang University has been established to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The partnership between the University of Sussex and Zhejiang Gongshang University China, is training hundreds of students enabling them get Sussex degrees while studying in their home country.
