The Evolution group at the University of Sussex follows the traditions established by John Maynard Smith. The group investigates a number of problems in evolutionary biology using a mix of experiments, analysis and theory. The group has one of the largest concentrations of social insect biologists in the world as wll as a strengths in molecular evolution.
