Peter's story
Peter Wang accepted a place at Sussex through Clearing after missing out on the grades he needed for his course. He said he chose Sussex because of its location and quality of teaching and is now studying a Law LLM. Peter is originally from China and studied his A-levels in the UK.
Clearing: Peter's experience
“I went through clearing because I didn’t get the grades needed for the universities I had applied to. I thought it was the end of the world as I didn’t know what to do. But, through the advice I received from my friend, I decided that Sussex was the place for me because of its location and the quality of teaching that it offers.
"I applied to Sussex through clearing by myself on A-Level results day. The process isn’t exactly that hard, and there is a lot of information provided on UCAS which is very informative and straightforward.

"The best thing I would say about Sussex, from an international student’s perspective, is that it is extremely multi-cultural and diverse. There are so many international students here that you won’t feel lonely. Brighton as a city is very young, lively and energetic, it’s very student friendly and I think it is an absolutely beautiful city.
"I also really like how Sussex is surrounded by the sea, the city and lots of green fields, which not a lot of other universities in the UK offer.”
