A new three-year agreement between the University of Sussex and Santander Universities will provide £150,000 worth of funding and support for students from 2023 to 2026.
On Thursday 28 September, representatives from both organisations signed the partnership agreement at an event held at the Meeting House on campus. The event was also attended by students and staff involved in activities supported by the partnership.
The University of Sussex and Santander Universities have been partners for over a decade. This agreement – the fifth in succession – will provide support in a range of areas, including student entrepreneurship and employability skills.
Professor Sasha Roseneil, Vice-Chancellor, said: “I am delighted that the University of Sussex is continuing our partnership with Santander. This new agreement will provide wonderful additional opportunities for our students, including financial support, funding for entrepreneurial ventures, and paid internships for students from non-traditional and disadvantaged backgrounds."
Matt Hutnell, Director of Santander Universities UK, said: “At Santander Universities we believe education is today’s solution to a better tomorrow. We’re proud to continue our partnership with the University of Sussex and provide even more opportunities for students, staff and the local community to develop skills to build a brighter future and achieve their future potential.”
