2010s
Still in its infancy, the decade began with the University marking its 50th birthday in 2011 with a celebratory weekend on campus involving alumni, staff and current students. Elsewhere, alumna Jessie Ware's debut album Devotion, released in 2012, reflected the popularity of pop, soul and electronica in a post landfill-indie musical landscape; while the likes of Mumford and Sons and Laura Marling helped to establish folk music in the mainstream.
