The changing nature of inter-Asian student networks and flows has also captured the attention of several Asia Centre scholars. David Sancho has conducted innovative fieldwork in Dubai with students from India. Diana Ibanez Tirado has compared the experiences of Asian students in Moscow in the 1990s and in China in the present-day. Over many years Louise Morley has been at the forefront of debates in education about the neo-liberalisation of higher education; in recent years she’s established an innovative network exploring these issues in Japan. Louise also directs the Centre of Higher Education and Equity Research.
