BCUR - the British Conference for Undergraduate Research
As part of the JRA program, each student is given the opportunity to present their work in a conference setting - a valuable experience for an undergraduate researcher.
We know the value of presenting your work in a conference setting, and we want every JRA to have the opportunity to do so. As a result we invite all JRAs to apply to attend BCUR, the British Conference for Undergraduate Research, an annual conference bringing together the very best junior researchers from across the country. As a part of BCUR, students are given the opportunity to present their work to fellow undergraduates, either by giving a presentation or by presenting a poster.
If you do choose to attend BCUR, the Sussex Undergraduate Research Office will offer you support and assistance to ensure your trip is a success. Most recently BCUR took place on 25 & 26 April 2024 and was hosted by the London School of Economics, so please see their webpages (link) for more details. The next BCUR event will be hosted by Newcastle University in 2025.
