Employment Law Clinic
- Giving free legal advice, supervised by solicitors, in areas of employment, family law, housing and migration.
This project is inspired by a single ideal: access to justice, irrespective of financial abilities, should be a universally available public good and not a revenue opportunity. Guided by the desire to use academic privilege in the service of community, the Employment Law Clinic offers the unique opportunity to final year students to be involved in the provision of pro bono services to individuals on employment law.
When meeting clients, students will be supervised by a solicitor who is an employment law expert, and will offer legal advice during the term on various aspects of employment law, including bogus self-employment, casual contracts, atypical work, unfair dismissals and non-discrimination. Students will also be supervised by our Employment Law members of staff - Dr Amir Paz-Fuchs and Dr Ioannis Katsaroumpas. All selected students should choose the final year Employment Law module.
