The module you will focus on the foundations of global business law and regulation.

You’ll look at cutting-edge issues surrounding global business. Potential topics include:

• the doctrine of ‘pierce the corporate veil’
• extraterritoriality
• cross-border bankruptcy
• corporate criminal liability.

You’ll also compares and contrast the laws and regulations in major jurisdictions, including the U.S. China and the EU. You’ll assess the landmark cases that have addressed the above challenges.

• Critique principles and institutions of global business law and regulation;
• Analyse a range of cutting-edge issues in global business law and regulation; and
• Systematically identify and appreciate the divergences and convergences among primary jurisdictions.
