This module will enable you to use computational chemistry techniques and software to analyze chemical systems.

You will have the choice of using computational chemistry software or writing your own code, using Python or MATLAB to analyse chemical problems.

Module learning outcomes

• Plan and implement a piece of original research in computational chemistry.
• Apply computational or theoretical chemistry techniques accurately to chemical problems and analyse the results critically.
• Deploy current computational and programming techniques and methods accurately.
• Demonstrate good computational/coding research practices and a critical understanding of the principles underlying their chosen computational method .
