Our partner Santander Universities is providing 50 research grants of £1,000 for postgraduate students and academic university staff in the UK. 

This opportunity is open to staff and postgraduate students (Masters students and postgraduate researchers) conducting any form of research at any UK university. You don’t need to be a Santander customer to apply. 

The funding will be given as cash and can be spent on anything that supports the winner’s research, including equipment, resources, travel expenses, conference attendance and any other research costs. The 50 grants will be allocated on a random basis. 

Applications are open until 12 October 2023. 

To apply, visit the Santander Scholarships platform, where you’ll need to register an account. After registering, you’ll get a confirmation email. Then you can complete the online application form and apply for the grant. 

Developed based on feedback from their partners, this is the latest initiative from Santander Universities aimed at supporting higher education.
