The Sussex Psychosis Research interest Group (SPRiG) incorporates clinical and academic researchers within the University of Sussex, Brighton and Sussex Medical School and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. SPRiG incorporates and supports research conducted within the Psychotic experiences research theme within Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. SPRiG is part of the Clinical and Developmental research group at the University of Sussex.
Our research explores understandings of the experience of psychosis and factors that moderate remission and recovery. Our interests aim to be holistic, encompassing a broad bio-psycho-social perspective, within a developmental and clinical context. Inherent in our research are the involvement of service users, and the translation of research into meaningful health and well-being benefits for people with psychosis, their families and carers.
