'Independent Miss Craigie' Nominated For Learning on Screen Award

Professor of Film Lizzie Thynne’s Independent Miss Craigie has been nominated in the Creative Use of Archive category for a Learning on Screen award.
Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the biopic tells the story of one of the UK's early women documentary makers, Jill Craigie. Exploring her remarkable life and career, Independent Miss Craigie draws on a mixture of Cragie's own words and extensive clips from her work.
Alongisde being nominated, the film is also available to stream on BFI Player - starring Senior Lecturer in Music, Mimi Haddon, as Jill Cragie!
The winner of the Learning on Screen award will be announced at an event at the BFI Southbank on 4 May.
