Incentive Fund applications

Incentive funds are awarded to faculty who have received a FEC (fully economically costed) research grant and are given as a proportionate devolved budget for use in supporting research activities. Incentive funds are normally released for use in the financial year following the start of the external grant. Incentive funds can also be generated by external paid consultancy work undertaken by academics. 

Requests for expenditure against incentive fund codes are granted in the light of evidencing that they are business and time critical to the support or advancement of a project, or to the securing of publication, or to the maintenance of the Media, Arts and Humanities research strategy. All expenditure related to incentive funds should comply with the University's financial regulations, and please note that anything purchased with incentive funds is the property of the University.
