Student Wellbeing Update- March 2025

Happy March! This month, read about how to stay on top of life admin and about some events that are running. We also have some slots available for Canine Cuddles if you would like to book a slot.
Student Finance Funding:
If you are funded through Student Finance England, you can apply for your loan for 2025-2026 from mid-March. You can find more information on the student finance website.
Spirit of Sussex Award (SOSA):
One of the categories for SOSA is “sports and wellbeing”. You can log five points for attending a wellbeing event like canine cuddles. Book a spot for the upcoming sessions here!

Intercultural Reflection Series:
A student-led, discursive space for international students to reflect on their own interculturality, share experiences with others, and develop their sense of intercultural expertise and belonging at the University of Sussex. Every Wednesday from February 19th to March 25th (six sessions) between 3-4pm in Jubilee G31. Snacks and refreshments provided! Come share your voice! Please self-enrol join this canvas site.
Lunch Positive:
They offer welcoming supportive peer-led HIV community spaces with a wide range of ‘wrap around’ support and wellbeing project including community lunches, drop-ins and support groups, and plenty of opportunities to socialise with other people living with HIV across Brighton and beyond.

Togetherall:
Togetherall is a 24/7 digital platform offering anonymous peer support for mental health. It provides a safe, moderated space for users to share experiences, connect with others, and access self-help tools. It fosters resilience and wellbeing through community support and guided resources for personal growth.
